How to Repair a Scratch on a Leather Car Seat

    • 1). Buy a leather repair kit from an auto shop or an online retailer. Ensure that the kit offers the same color as the car's upholstery.

    • 2). Apply and spread a moderate amount of leather adhesive to the scratch, using a toothpick. Even-out the adhesive on the scratch. Make sure that you do not leave adhesive on the outer areas of the scratch.

    • 3). Bond the adhesive onto the leather using the kit's heat applicator (most kits come with some type of heat applicator). As an alternative, you can use a hair dryer.

    • 4). Let the adhesive cool for several hours. Afterwards, dry the area with a nonabrasive towel.
