Algonquin Park, Ontario Motels
- Cottages in the park often have the same amenities as motels. Don't let the name of Sunny Hill Resort fool you -- they provide travelers with fully equipped cottages as well as an indoor pool 25 minutes from the park. Logging Chain Lodge also offers fully equipped cottages but is only minutes from the park entrance. The Bartlett Lodge gives you the option of cottages and gourmet dining right in the park. If you're looking for a slightly more upscale cottage setting, Adventure Lodge may suit.
Bed & Breakfasts
- Bed & Breakfasts are also a very popular option in Algonquin Park. They will provide you with a more personalized and homey travel experience. Carmelita by the Lake is a year round bed and breakfast that is located right on beautiful Maple Lake. It has four suites that have a view of Maple Lake. The Swallowdale Inn is a family-owned bed and breakfast with three beautiful suites and home-like common rooms. Both of these bed and breakfasts have private bathrooms in all suites.
Lodges and Inns
- If you want to stay in a true motel type accommodation, the Riverland Lodge & Camp, Algonquin Lakeside Inn and the Nor'Loch Lodge Resort are all on water and within minutes of the park. They all offer beautiful rooms with upscale amenities as well as gourmet dining options.
- If you are a budget-conscious traveler, there are several cost-effective hostel options in Algonquin Park. Wolf Den Log Cabin Hostel provides "rustic yet clean" accommodations year-round. The South Algonquin Backpackers Hostel offers dorms as well as singles and doubles. You have the option of choosing a budget-friendly bed and breakfast package at the Algonquin Backpackers Hostel. Staying in one of these hostels will allow you to explore the park while not breaking the bank.
