Is A Hydrogen Conversion Kit Useful?

The real advantage with hydrogen as fuel is that it produces simple water vapor after burning and it is not harmful to the environment.

Using brown gas as fuel is even better than H2.

The final product of this reaction is water in form of steam and O2.
It is the same as that of the fuel cells.

Humans can live till the O2 level in the atmosphere does not go below 5%.
Usually the atmosphere contains less than one-fifth amount of oxygen, but at places where the population is large, like in big metropolitan cities, the level often drops to 6 or 7 %, which is a real problem.
Therefore, using brown gas made out of water can help improve the environmental situations in these places, as the O2 released into the atmosphere would enhance the O2 levels.
This would help in saving the atmosphere as well as money.
The problem with this method despite having numerous advantages is that, it needs a lot of water to be transformed into gas to run a vehicle.
So burning the brown gas as fuel could help in increasing O2 levels.
This can be of great help in highly populated area, where O2 levels are seriously low.
While if only hydrogen is used, H2O would be its waste product.
Though, it is not harmful, but it would not increase O2 levels that could be beneficial to a lot of places.
The use of hydrogen as fuel is advantageous but it is not suitable for engines with compression ratio of 9.
Engines with superchargers or turbochargers have a compression ratio of 9.
As the hydrogen burns faster than the normal petroleum fuel, it can inflict serious damage to the engine.
So, such hydrogen conversion kits cannot be suggested for diesel-powered vehicles.
The use of hydrogen as fuel can be considered a good option as it cost effective as well as environment friendly.
With hydrogen, the main problem is safety.
The problem of safety can be solved with the help special storage methods.
The hydrogen gas can be stored as hydrides.
These are materials, which can soak up hydrogen like a mop soaks up water.
A tank is first filled with hydride granules and then hydrogen gas is compressed into the tank.
This has numerous advantages as the density of the hydrogen is much more and the hydrogen gets chemically bonded with the hydrides, which is very stable.
Hydrogen in this form is so stable that it does not get released even if the tank is open and does not catch fire even if a bullet is fired at the tank.
Carrying it is also easy and simple.
Now people might wonder how to use hydrogen as a fuel.
It is simple, as the hydrogen is released on heating the hydride.
This hydrogen storage kit is equipped with a heating system.
The heating system works on electricity or with the help of heat from the exhaust pipes and the radiator.
A good number of modern vehicles are found with a small but a very effective device known as the catalytic converter.
This is small equipment fitted in the exhaust pipe of a vehicle.
The catalytic converter is used to cut down the level of pollution emitted from the vehicle.
Inside the engine, the fuel is burned to gain energy, but the process is so fast that the fuel does not gets the time burn properly.
As a result, harmful gases are let out into the atmosphere.
The catalytic converter comes in handy at this point of time.
This device when heated helps in burning the fuel completely before being releasing in the air.
