WoW Raid Guide - Coliseum Twin Valk"yr 10 - Man Normal Instance Guide

Todays WoW raid guide will be about the Twin Valk'yr encounter in the Coliseum.
The mechanics of this particular encounter are a bit confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it, you will see that is isn't that hard.
This is for the 10-man normal mode of the encounter.
Having the right WoW raid guide will make this very easy.
For this particular raid, the key is to work together and communicate at all times, and here is why.
The key to this raid is the effective use of light and dark essence.
These can be acquired by clicking a particular portal that spawn across the room just as the fight starts.
You can only have one type of essence on you, light or dark.
If you take a light essence, then you will deal extra damage to the dark valk'yr and vice versa.
You also absorb all of the light or dark damage in the encounter, depending on which essence you took.
Every absorbed hit will contribute to a stacking debuff called Powering Up.
When the stack number has reached 100, you will get a damage add called either Empowered Light or Empowered Darkness, depending on which essence you have.
Periodically several light and dark orbs will appear in the edges of the room and float around in random directions.
Players need to avoid orbs of the opposite color as they will hit for a fair amount of AoE damage.
They can be canceled by hitting the orbs of the same color.
Healers should be of the opposite color as the tanks they are healing in order to avoid stealing orbs from DPS.
The best way to stack Powering Up is to hit the orbs of the same color.
Every 60 seconds, one of the twins will either cast Twins Pact or Vortex.
When Vortex is chosen, everyone in the raid must switch to the color of the twin that is beginning to cast the spell, as that spell is a 2 second cast, uninterruptible high damage AoE spell.
Both twins need to be tanked near the opposite color portal in order to change quickly.
Twins Pact puts a shield around the caster and heals for huge amounts.
When that happens, all the DPS in the raid must chance color to hit the casting twin and break the shield around him so he will be exposed to interruptible hits like Kick.
As I've learned from the WoW raid guide, the twins share a health pool.
If one gets hit, they both loose HP.
So it is better to split the raid in half and hit both twins.
This allows faster stacking of essence debuffs which means more damage.
Sounds confusing, I know.
I thought about the same thing when I read about it in the WoW raid guide I use.
The key to this is to pay attention to the color essence and swap them whenever you need to.
If you think that it is hard business to lead a raid, then think again.
Anyone can do it when using the right tool, in this case a WoW raid guide.
