A MIDI Keyboard Is Not Working in Creative Audigy 4 Pro

    • 1). Check the FireWire cable connection running from the MIDI keyboard to your Creative Sound Blaster audio card. If the cable is not pushed in completely into the connection port, the computer is unable to detect the hardware.

    • 2). Insert the driver installation CD for the MIDI keyboard into the disc drive of your computer. Without any installed driver, the computer will not detect the keyboard. Wait a moment for the driver installation wizard to load, then follow the prompts to install the driver onto the computer. Once installed you are able to use the keyboard on the computer.

    • 3). Launch the recording program you use the MIDI keyboard with, then choose the "Input" option. Make sure you have the MIDI keyboard selected; otherwise the program will, by default, record off of either its built-in microphone or the "Line-In" port.
