Colossians - The Rght Way to Live

The book of Colossians was written by the apostle Paul to Christians in Colosse.
It is one of the shorter epistles, and it appears Paul was really writing this epistle for all Christians.
This book is all about the life lessons of God and how we are supposed to live, and Paul wrote it between 58-62 AD.
Colossians is a short epistle that can be read during a lunch break or after dinner, and there are many great truths and lessons that can be gathered from these passages of Scripture.
One of my favorite verses is Colossians 3:12-13.
It says "Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another.
Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
" It is clear to me from this passage of Scripture that God wants us to get along! We need to show compassion to the sinners who are trying to get out of sin.
We should be humble and kind to everyone.
We need to forgive each other when we are wronged, and we should put Jesus first regardless of the grievances you may have against someone else.
Another great passage of Colossians is Colossians 4:5-6.
"Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity.
Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
" This verse discusses how we should talk to the strangers we meet on a regular basis.
As we grow in our walk with the Lord, the fruits of the Spirit will become more and more evident, and we will interact with others in a Godly manner.
We should pray and ask God to give us grace and give us regular opportunities to share the love of Christ with other people.
In the book of Colossians, Paul wants us to know that we can trust Christ in everything.
All of your decisions and plans should glorify the Lord.
Colossians 3 specifically talks about setting our minds on Christ, and it talks about developing Godly character and having peace in Christ.
Paul wraps up Colossians talking about devoting ourselves and our services to Christ.
He wants us to glorify him in every activity under the sun.
If you love business, then you can be a witness in the community.
If you love music, you can lead worship or assist in leading worship at your congregation.
Writers can write books about Christianity and share them with other believers.
The book of Colossians teaches us everything we need to know to live a Christian life, and we should always strive to grow in our walk with the Lord.
