How to Fix a Bent Pool Cue

    • 1). Set the pool cue against a wall so the bent section sticks out. Carefully press against the bend until the cue straightens. Release the cue and it should remain straight. Don't push too hard or you may end up breaking the stick.

    • 2). Use a rubber cue hanger to help restore the cue to its original shape. This device is available where billiard supplies are sold as well as online. The hanger is molded to fit the cue and holds the stick in a position that will help remove the bend. Slip the hanger on the cue then hang it so the cue's weight helps straighten the bend out.

    • 3). Tie a string to the tapered end of the pool cue then hang the cue so it's suspended in the air. Leave the cue hanging until it straightens out to your satisfaction.

    • 4). Replace the warped section of your cue if you have a two-piece pool cue. These cues are designed to be taken apart for easy transport and are simple to disassemble for replacing parts. In most cases, you will need to replace the bottom section of the cue.
