How to Advertise a Premiere Website for a Saddle Club
- 1). Promote the premiere website to the 90,000 members of the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF), as well as its 120 national affiliates. Saddle clubs and associations who pay the annual membership fee of $150 can promote their website and equestrian contact information in every issue of the USEF's magazine. You can also submit a press release advertising your club's website for coverage in the magazine. Contact the USEF through its official website (see Resources) or by calling their affiliate development coordinator at 859-225-6930.
- 2). Partner with a local humane society. Most animal welfare organizations are nonprofits and looking for strategic, mutually beneficial alliances with animal care associations. For example, saddle clubs can choose to host a fundraising drive to raise money to retire horses humanely in exchange for being advertised in the humane society's newsletters or literature, or at the society's physical location. Alternatively, saddle clubs might exchange direct advertising. For example, the club's website could promote the humane society while the humane society's website does likewise.
- 3). Create horse care brochures branded with the club's website and distribute at farm feed stores where farmers and equestrians purchase feed and supplies. Targeting feed stores lets you focus on the club's core audience. Packaging the advertising in a useful brochure will add value to the reader rather than simply printing posters with the club's website address. It might also help to establish the saddle club as an authoritative source for horse information.
- 4). Register an advertising account with Google AdWords (see Resources). AdWords is one of the most cost-effective means of online promotion, and can drive readers directly to the club's website. Follow the on-screen prompts to set up your first ad for the saddle club website. Choose local keywords, such as "Honolulu Hawaii saddle club" for saddle club websites based in Honolulu, Hawaii. After you create an ad, click "Edit Settings" and select "Locations." Follow the on-screen prompts to choose your city or town in which the club is located. This ensures the ad is only displayed to online readers who live in your area and would have potential interest in your club.
