Hotels in Dublin Near the Airport

      Most travelers who fly to Ireland make their arrival at Dublin International Airport, the busiest airport on the Emerald Isle. This airport serves the Greater Dublin area and provides flights to international destinations, including the United States and the European continent. Several hotels are within 10 minutes of the airport, and many of them offer airport-related amenities like shuttle transportation and are less than 20 minutes from Dublin's city center.

    Bewley's Hotel Dublin Airport

    • The Bewley's Hotel is right off the M1 motorway, approximately five minutes east of Dublin International Airport. According to the Visit Dublin website, this moderately priced hotel is the largest airport hotel in Dublin, and it offers a 24-hour complimentary shuttle to and from the airport. A "Park and Fly" package is available at this hotel, which includes an overnight stay and complimentary parking for up to eight days, or for an extra fee, 15 days. Long term parking with staying at the hotel is available as well for 4.50 to 8 euro per day, or $6 to $11, as of fall 2010. Other hotel features include on-site dining at the Brasserie Restaurant, a fitness center and 16 meeting rooms for seminars. Off-site dining is available five minutes south of the hotel in the Royal Oak and Clonshaugh neighborhoods. Golfing enthusiasts who stay at the hotel are only a 10-minute drive from the 18-hole course at Portmarnock Golf Club, which offers the Irish Sea as a background.

    Carlton Hotel Dublin Airport

    • The Carlton Hotel is a five-minute complimentary shuttle ride from the airport's terminals. The shuttle service runs 24 hours a day. The hotel features contemporary-style décor and furniture, including leather sofas in the guest rooms and modern art in the common areas. Some of the hotel's amenities include a fitness room and on-site restaurant, Hawk's Bar and Bistro, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hotel offers a special "Stay, Park and Fly" package that features a one-night stay, shuttle service and up to 14 days free parking in the hotel's lot. The hotel is five-minute drive from the shops and restaurants at the Omni Park Mall, which is right off the M1 motorway. This mall features Irish-themed boutique shops, and U.S. travelers who go to this mall can dine at Eddie Rocket's, an Irish version of a 1950s nostalgic American diner. Historic downtown Dublin attractions are only a 20-minute drive from the hotel and include Dublin Castle and St. Patrick's Cathedral.

    Molesworth Court Suites

    • Situated in northern Dublin, the Molesworth Court Suites is a small, boutique-style hotel less than a mile from the M1 motorway and approximately 10 minutes from the airport. The hotel, which is tucked away in a residential street, offers 12 guest suites with fully furnished kitchens, dining areas, a living room and private balcony. One-, two- and three-bedroom suites are available, and some of the suites have two levels. The hotel is within walking distance of local restaurants in the Santry neighborhood, including the Courtyard Restaurant and Little Venice. St. Stephen's Green is a 20-minute drive from the hotel. This historic, urban recreation area features walking paths that pass by statues of famous Irish writers including William Butler Yeats and James Joyce.
