Definition:
Antique
Purists consider an antique to be at least 100 years old, but in more recent times "antique" has been used to describe items as young as 50-75 years old. Another way that has been used to define an antique is by generations, e.g. 80 years would equal two generations, hence make an item an antique.
Note: According to US Customs/Tariff Schedule, for taxation purposes, an antique is 100 years old.
