How to Stop Email Notification at Windows Logon

    • 1). Press the "Windows" and "R" keys simultaneously on your keyboard to open a Run box. Alternatively, you can click "Start," and then "Run."

    • 2). Type "Regedit" in the Run box and click the "OK" button. This loads the Windows Registry Editor.

    • 3). Navigate to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UnreadMail" in the left pane of the Registry.

    • 4). Right-click in the right-pane and click "New, "then "DWORD." This will create a new entry in the right-pane called "New Value #1."

    • 5). Right-click "New Value #1" and click "Rename." Rename the value to "MessageExpiryDays". Leave the value of "MessageExpiryDays" at the default. Close the Registry Editor and restart your computer.
