Victim Or Victor

Sometimes I think we're just a collection of habits, some good and some bad.
The trick is, as the song goes, 'you have to accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative'.
How? Well firstly we have to become aware of them.
Might I ask you are you living in the world or your world of emotion? What do I mean by that? Well, do you tend to take things personally? Are you a reactionary getting upset or angry at things you hear without considering another's point of view or the bigger picture? Do you find that you regularly express yourself by saying ' I'm worried that ..
', 'I'm scared that ..
', 'I regret ..
' Do you have a tendency to focus on the negative? Remember, where your focus goes, your energy flows and creates your world.
So how do you turn this melodrama that you find yourself living into a mellow drama? Firstly, become more conscious of your limiting beliefs and bad habits.
For example press the stop button on the 'I'm not worthy' script that replays in your head.
Use more power words in your day to day vocabulary especially when you are talking to yourself, about yourself eg I'm confident and competent.
Try to overcome the temptation of being a people pleaser.
After all you can't please all of the people all of the time, so why try? Just by being prepared to let go of harmful habits and embracing more positive ones will help you move towards a more empowering and peaceful existence.
