How to Mount a NTFS File System

    • 1). Log in to your Linux computer as the root user.

    • 2). Open a command line Terminal program (from the Desktop or system menu).

    • 3). Type "mkdir /mount_point" to create a folder named "mount_point."

    • 4). Type "fdisk -l" to see a list of hard disks on the computer. Make note of the name of the NTFS disk that you want to mount.

    • 5). Type (where "NTFS_disk" is the actual name of the NTFS disk) "mount /NTFS_disk /mount_point" to perform the mounting operation.
