- The Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD was introduced in 2001. The Silverado 2500HD is still produced as of 2011 and is available in three models: Work Truck, LT, and LTZ. - Each model of the 2011 Silverado 2500HD comes standard with a 360 horsepower, 6.0-liter V8 engine. Available for each is a 335 horsepower, 6.6-liter V8 as well as a 397 horsepower, 6.6-liter V8. Each model sports a fuel tank which can hold 36 gallons of regular unleaded fuel.
Transmission and Drive Type
- All three models come with a six-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. Overdrive allows the engine to achieve greater fuel efficiency while reducing engine wear. Each model is also rear-wheel drive with part-time four-wheel drive capabilities.
