Equatorial Shanghai opened in June 1991. The hotel comprises
3 sections; the east wing - a 9-storey office block with a shopping
arcade, the main tower - a 29-storey hotel and the west wing
is the 4-storey Shanghai International Club.
Ideally located in the heart of the business district of
Shanghai just a short distance away from the main shopping
area of the city, Nanjing Road and the Jing An Subway Station.
The hotel is only 12 km from the Hong Qiao International
Airport, 7 km from the harbour and 5 km from the railway station.
Pudong International Airport in the city's east is 40 km
from the hotel, this airport was newly opened this year. The
subway is very close, only 3 minutes walk from the hotel.
The Shanghai Exhibition Centre is within walking distance
and the International Exhibition Centre is 10 minutes drive
away along with the Shanghai Mart Building.
