China Travel Service (H.K.) Ltd., originally established in
1928, is the largest travel and tour operator in Hong Kong. It
has set up 23 branches and offices conveniently located in Hong
Kong Island, Kowloon peninsula and the New Territories. There are
also a total of 16 overseas branch offices in 13 countries to
support and promote the overseas business. The total number of
passengers serviced by the company annually exceeds five million.
The relating tourist services include:
- Organizing tours to China as well as to foreign
countries.
- Handling application for "Home Visit Permit for H.K.
& Macao Compatriots:,
- Processing "Two-way Permits for Entry into Mainland
for Taiwan Residents" and China tourist visas for
foreign passport holders.
- Organizing H.K. and Macau sightseeing tours for mainland
Chinese citizens from various provinces.
- Possessing a contingent of deluxe coaches with modern
facilities, and dealing with local coach rentals on the
basis of chartered duty for transportation and
sightseeing purposes.
- Ticketing for scheduled trains, boats, buses and planes.
- Operating the luxurious cruise ship S.S. Splendid China
sailing along the Three Gorges on the Yangtze River.
- Booking the 500 major star-standard
hotels located in Hong Kong, Macau and the Chinese mainland.
