The Highland Barley Brewery Corp., Ltd., is a group company which consists of the Qinghai Highland Barley Brewery, the Qinghai Highland Barley Liquor Trade Co., Ltd., and the Qinghai Highland Barley Comprehensive Processing Plant. The corporation has fixed assets of 2,400,000,000 yuan (RMB). There are 1,748 staff members, including 453 technicians and engineers and 68 management and administrative personnel.
With a history of more than 300 years of liquor-brewing, the Qinghai Highland Barley Brewery is the original producer of highland barley liquor. The brewery is the core unit of the corporation. It is also the only enterprise to produce products for ethnic minority people and is a national tourist product manufacturing enterprise. Its products have won gold and silver medals many times at international and national fairs and sell very well in both foreign and domestic markets. The brewery is one of the 100 liquor-brewing enterprises occupying the largest share of the national liquor market, and one of the 100 liquor enterprises which have achieved the best economic results.

Certificates for the gold and silver medals The brewery has fixed assets of 150,000,000 yuan (RMB), 9 brewing workshops and 8 auxiliary workshops with an annual production capacity of 165,000 tons of barley liquor. There are 1,400 staff members. Three series of liquor products comprising 28 varieties have been developed. The main products are barley liquor, barley health-care liquor and barley beverages.
"Huzhu Brand" liquor is produced in accordance with ancient traditional brewing skills which have been brought up-to-date with modern scientific technology. The raw materials are highland barley and valuable traditional Chinese herbs, such as cordyceps sinensis, pilose antler and lycicem chinense. These ingredients are put through a process of scientific mixing and long brewing. There are no artificial flavoring essences added to the liquor. The flavor derives mainly from the natural flavor released by the barley. The liquor is also noteworthy for the lack of unpleasant symptoms "the morning after". The unique geographical origin of the liquor and the brewing skills that go into its production have given the liquor its own characteristics and caused it to be regarded as the Highland Pearl and the best of all the liquors produced in China.
The brewing process utilizes scientifically controlled advanced production techniques and full-scale quality inspection methods. Through stringent inspection and measurement, the quality qualification rate of the brewery's products has remained at 100%. "Highland liquor is as white and pure as "hada" ( the white silk ribbons symbolizing happiness) and the barley liquor is as famous as China." are two sayings known all over China.
