Government ISO Organizations in China China's National Accreditation Committee for Product Certification Bodies (CNACP)

CNACP is an assessment organization which was set up on May 31, 1995, authorized by CSBTS, and is in charge of national accreditation of qualifications for product quality certification bodies and the daily supervision of these accredited bodies.

CNACP's aim is to improve the authority and the credibility of product quality certification bodies, and to promote the development and acceptance of international practices in product quality certification through technical assessments of qualification accreditation for the product quality certification bodies and through the daily supervision of the accredited bodies. CNACP's main tasks are to:

1. Put forward general and specific policies and measures of the national accreditation for product quality certification on the basis of the relevant national laws, regulations and rules and at the same time following international standard and practices;

2. Formulate the accreditation standard and documents of product quality certification bodies;

3. Conduct the technical assessment of the accreditation for the product quality certification bodies and the daily supervision of the accredited bodies, and to determine the confirmation, cancellation, suspension, recovery, or withdrawal of the accreditation of the accredited product quality certification bodies;

4. Distribute and maintain the directory of the accredited product quality certification bodies;

5. Hear claims related to accreditation.
