Trade (CIFIT).
Sponsored
by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC)
of the People's Republic of China, the 6th CIFIT will be held
in Xiamen during September 8~11, 2002. Delegates from governments
at the provincial level throughout China and relevant state ministries,
commissions, offices, bureaus, and associations will attend the
Fair as affiliates to promote their investment projects as well
as enterprise products.
CIFIT,
held successfully for five consecutive sessions, is the sole national
event for investment promotion with a focus on foreign direct
investment (FDI). Besides serving as an important window for international
capital's flow into China, CIFIT also furnishes a golden opportunity
for the flow of Chinese capital to the world at large.
The
International Investment Forum, which has been an indispensable
part of this signal event, will convene simultaneously with the
6th CIFIT. Dignitaries from governments at home and abroad, and
international economic organizations and world-renowned scholars
and executives from famous multinationals will be invited to deliver
speeches. Running parallel to the Forum will be ten-plus seminars
on the hot issues of foreign-invested enterprises. In addition,
the 6th CIFIT will continue to accentuate two-way investments
by inviting overseas investment promotion institutions to showcase
their own investment environment and investment projects.
