To bring visitors* enthusiasm for participation into full play, most of the items in the museum galleries have been designed as ands-on* exhibits These include exotic activities with names such as oberman Sphere,* a agnetically-levitated linear motor vehicle,* a esalination of sea water* demonstration and the *3-D Gobang.* Another exhibit houses 250 items focusing on China scientific and technological preeminence in the ancient world.27.jpg (33596 bytes)

The museum also sponsors or hosts various kinds of contests, demonstrations and multimedia programs.
