Beijing International Cultural Tourism Festival
About 1,000 foreign artists from 30 countries
will participate in the Beijing International Cultural Tourism Festival September 5-9.
There will be performances of Peking Opera, acrobatics, drum dances, dragon dances and lion dances along Ping'an Avenue which runs parallel to Chang'an Avenue from Dongsishitiao to Guanyuan Overpass.
Hutong and countryside tours are also available.
Activity Schedule: 
Opening ceremony & parade
Time: 10-11.30am, September 5
Place: Ping'an Avenue
Performance of Peking Opera, acrobatics, drum dances, dragon dances, lion dances along Ping'an Avenue.
Time: 11am-8pm, September 4, 5
Place: Sun Dong'an Plaza near Wangfujing
Cultural Tourism Activities:
Former Residence Tour--Former residence of Mei Lanfang, former residence of Guo Moruo, former residence of Song Qingling, Gong Palace and former residence of Xu Beihong..
Historical Art Tour --Bai Ta Si (White Pagoda Temple), Beijing Museum of Stone Inscription, Beijing Art Museum, Beijing Museum of Ancient Bells, Beijing Museum of Ancient Coins.
Cultural and Art Museum --Lu Xun Museum, Museum of Ancient Pottery Civilization, Peking Opera Museum, Ancient Art Museum.
Hutong and countryside tours are also available.
The closing ceremony will be held on September 9 at the New Century Hotel.
