Hair Fans Go Crazy
Fans blocked the entrance gates of the big
auditorium on the second floor of the International Convention Centre trying to get into
the Across-the-Millennium Hairstyle Show recently.
The Wella show displayed the hair trends for the
next century and was a key event of the '99 China International hairdressing and
Cosmetology Festival, organized by China Hairdressing and Cosmetology Association.
More than 200 contestants from 28 provinces and cities have joined in the 24th Asian Hairstyle and Makeup Competition China Selection competition, trying their hands in seven areas including haircuts and blow dries for men's and women's hair, women's dinner-party hairstyles and dinner-party makeup.
Other activities were a cosmetics and haircare
products fair and a Japanese New Hairstyle Show. A performance by hairdressers from
Germany, the United Kingdom, Japan and China also greatly impressed.
